The Grounds comes to town
The BUZZ is real on the first day of opening. A 45 minute wait for a seat inside leaves the take away counter as the best option for a quick lunch eat. The Lobster Brioche Roll with avo, baby fennel, coriander and lime ($18 takeaway lunch menu) has noticeable lobster meat with nice texture (although still hoping for more lobster meat in lobster rolls in Sydney), a decent softish roll and enjoyable flavours. An order of shoestring fries with parmesan and vinegar would have gone nicely to complete the meal. Loving the decor, vibe and fit out inside and thankfully there's a bit of seating for the take away punters outside amongst the busy pedestrian thoroughfare. Some bins for the takeaway containers seems unavailable for now. There's plenty of sweet temptations on the counter that will definitely draw me back to try with a coffee and it's good to see the healthy poke bowls have made it on the menu.
